This is so far from what I would normally read that I didn't think I would like it much. The opposite is true... I loved it!

The writing style flows so well that hours have passed while reading and you've not realised how long you've been sat there.

This is the story of Lale and Gita in the concentration camps. what they had to do, what they endured and their true fight for survival. It shows how your social standing also influences how you are treated, even as a prisoner of war! Once Lale got his job of tattooing new camp members with their number, he was rewarded with extra food and his own dorm to sleep. He never forgot about his old room mates and used to keep some of his extras back to feed them too.

Anyway, before I spoil the rest, I will just say, I would highly recommend this book to everyone. Xx
