This book isn't my 'usual' genre, but after being recommended it by a friend I decided to give it a go, and I'm so glad I did.
The book is simply written, which made it easy to follow, and from page one I was completely drawn in to Lale and Gita's story. I would read as much as I could as often as I could, as I was just so interested in where the story would go, and how it would end.
I felt so many emotions reading this - it was tender and sweet at times, heartbreaking, but also hopeful. It made me cry several times, but also made me smile, and I was invested all the way through.
I like that the author took such time and care to get Lale's story onto paper. Overall a great read - better than I expected.
