This book is genuinely fantastic. I loved it from start to finish and I really didn’t think I would. Before reading his book I was skeptical about reading historical romances and reading truths about such terrible times but I bit the bullet, and wow am I glad I did.
I didn’t find this as emotional as I thought I would do but it really did pull on the heartstrings. I love that it’s written from a male perspective and not a typical love story as told by a girl.
I really enjoyed that it including other things that happened instead of only being based on the love story and I already have the sequel on pre-order to discover the story of one of the other characters. I highly recommend this book to anybody!
