Honestly, this book made me cry. This rarely happens, but this one did. It's an incredible, almost unbelievable, story of a man that is working as a tattooist in a concentration camp, Auschwitz. His job is to tattoo the numbers that are the new identities of people that arrive to the camp.
This book is beautifully written and the author tries to tell us the story as accurately as possible with the help of Lale, the main character in the story.
Lale had a unique story to tell us, and I believe this brings a completely new perspective for me regarding Auschwitz. All the stories I read about it are incredible but heartbreaking. Lale's story is different from the others I read, and I enjoyed it so much!
I recommend it to everybody!
