A book that’s always talked about and recommended can sometimes be a disappointment, but this doesn’t fall short.
This was a truly interesting read and with the knowledge that everything happened in real life and the characters were real people and that this was a moment in history... well reminding yourself of that will make this worth while.
I’ve heard people say the book isn’t written well, but I liked the uncomplicated easy flow of the words. This didn’t take lots of reading and re-reading to understand and appreciate the point, you can picture each scene clearly and each character has a face in your mind.
I’m definitely recommending this book if anyone asks, I’d also like to read ‘Cilkas Journey’ to find out what happened to her
