The most fascinating insight to a truly horrific time the horrors and depravity that was inflicted. The book was a hard read but I am so glad that I read it. I now believe that good can come out of some thing truly terrible. I recommend this read and we all should read it.
There is a long waiting list to borrow this book from my local library and no wonder why.
It is amazing to know that this book is a true story during this horrific time however what a skill the tattooist had and how popular the tattooist was and how well respected he was.
It does send a message to the reader. Disturbingly poignant.
I don't normally read stories from war time, although I am fascinated in war time, so to read this book actually made a real impression to me and felt I was actually in the war camp with the tattooist of Auswtitz and intrigued to read another book of true stories from war camps.
