The story of Lale (main character) is so well told by Heather Morris. I read it in just two sittings and found it hard to put down. The book provides a good insight into the horrors of Auchwitz and the struggles that those present faced daily. It is a work of fiction but based on true life stories of those involved and some research by the author. There is also some further detailed information at the end of the book about the main characters and their surroundings which was very interesting and informative. The story itself is largely based around a love interest between two main characters but there are so many more aspects to it that it makes for a really interesting read. One of my best reads of recent times and would definitely recommend to anyone!
