This book is a must read for everyone that can get their hands on it. It is an amazing insight into how it was like for some of the more lucky people in the Auschwitz concentration camps. It was so well written, captivating and heart wrenching. You get to see what it was like for the man in the 'privileged' position of being the 'Tetovierer' and the love that blossoms between him (Lale) and a women that he tattoos (Gita). It is an unforgettable book with a special ending that I would recommend to everyone to read. It shows patience and love and how Lale had to stay humble and put himself before others in such devastating times. It is an emotional roller coaster that makes you think about the trauma that these poor people had to survive through all those years ago.
