I loved this book.I really enjoyed the way that it was written and how face paced it was- every page you were wanting more. The main character- Lale was written really well and we really got to see his urgency from the first page.
Furthermore, I know some don’t like this, but I didn’t enjoy the way how it was a bit Americanised than other books, it did want you yearning for more whilst reading through and through.
I did enjoy the way we see It was written how we see lale go through everything he went through in the camps. The way heather morris added this sense of hope all the way through was really powerful whilst reading this hard hitting book. I enjoyed how she portrayed that urgency of survival in very single character and let them also in the book have this sense of a story than focusing directly on Lale. This was a really interesting and inspiring read!
