This really sucked me in from the first paragraph. There is just something about the author's writing style that convinces you to keep reading. Of course, this is helped immeasurably by name checking Malory Towers - I loved that series when I was growing up - in fact any of the boarding school books (Chalet School, St Claires). Throw in what are bound to be some crotchety nuns (most of the ones at my school were), a difficult home life and then the struggles of being an adult and this looks like being a fine book.

I can't decide if the First Impression was very short or if I sped through it. Whichever, it ended far too soon.
