I was instantly drawn to the dark and mysterious cover and blurb, and was excited to discover the fate of the missing characters. The first impression was not as exciting as I hoped it would be, but then again, it was just an extract. I still want to read on and get to the bottom of the mysterious disappearances though. Hopefully the pace will pick up further in the book.
