I liked the opening few pages - the death does grip the reader from the start. I did find there is a lot of description though, but I'm hoping this is to just set the scene and character building, therefore won't continue so much throughout the book. I'm intrigued by these deaths. My Mum read the extract and is keen to read this book too.
