Always difficult with just a few pages to know how a book will meander.
However, I can see potential in this for being a really good read. The intrigue is set up early with Louisa talking of her past and her friend Victoria. What happened to them at boarding school and what happened to Victoria later in life - what was the manner of her death. Defiantly want to read more.
