I was excited to read the extract but it's left me feeling undecided. I'm naturally drawn to books of this genre but this one didn't quite capture my interest in the way that I'd hoped. The extract felt quite atmospheric, bordering on haunting, but it wasn't long enough for me to get a real feel for the book and its characters. As for the cover, I'm confused as to the way in which the leaves reflect the storyline.
