I really enjoyed this one.
Dark, brooding and all offset against a Catholic girls school.
Louisa is the new girl and trying to gain acceptance into an "elite coterie" of girls.
They all seem rather obsessed with Mr. Lavelle the art teacher, eccentric and Bohemian he sets the girls hearts a flutter but Victoria in particular is totally obsessed and believes they are going to run away together.
Louise in her turn has fallen head over heels for Victoria and tries to talk her out of her mad scheming but Victoria is determined and won't listen.
Then the day comes when Louisa and Mr. Lavelle completely vanish with no trace.
Now years later a journalist is determined to investigate and crack the case wide open.
Many have tried but all have failed to solve the "Temple House vanishing."
Can this be the time that the mystery is cleared up for once and for all?
A brilliantly creepy and unsettling thriller that leaves the reader with a sense of the sinister and an uncomfortable feeling.
This was a brilliant read.
