I read this book in almost one sitting it was slow to get going but once it did I was completely hooked and wanted to read on to see what happened to Louisa. This book has two parallel stories the one which looks at how friends Victoria and Louisa are both obsessed and have a crush on their art teacher and the subsequent disappearance of Louisa along with her teacher and the journalist that picks up the story 25 years later to try and find out the truth behind what has happened. The themes throughout the book are of rivalry between girls in the all girls boarding
School and jealously that the girls are all competing for the attention of their teacher and would do anything to get him to fall in love with them and choose them as the one and also looks at how this love and emotions starts to set them apart from each other and seeks to destroy their friendship. I initially thought this book was going to be like a psychological thriller but would say it is more like a young adult mystery. It was well written and an easy read
