Twenty five years ago sixteen year old schoolgirl Louisa and her art teacher Mr Lavelle disappear, never to be seen again.
Louisa arrives at Catholic boarding school Temple House and becomes drawn to fellow student Victoria. The two girls form a bond with art teacher Mr Lavelle, before Louisa and Mr Lavelle vanish.
Years later, a journalist tries to resolve the mystery of the vanishing.
I really thought I would enjoy this book as the blurb sounds great. The first half of the book is slow and I struggled to carry on reading. The second half of the book is slightly better and I started reading faster as I wanted to know what happened. The writing though, is beautiful and descriptive.
