Thank you to Readers First for the free copy of this! A beautifully written book: I can appreciate the simplistic yet poetic style The Temple House Vanishing is executed in and found the read easy yet pleasant throughout. I liked the characters well enough and the plot was logical and flowed fine. However I didn’t feel much of an investment in what was happening: I wasn’t thrilled to find out the ending nor was I surprised when I reached it. In part this might be because the characters are only developed to a limited extent, in part because suspense wasn’t really built. A good read especially for a debut, just not extremely memorable. Would love to read more of Donohue’s work in future to see how she progresses!
