This book was not for me unfortunately. I found the premise totally implausible and the plot was paper-thin. Firstly that a man such as Mr Lavelle would be hired in a convent school in Ireland to teach art in a building separate from the main school (would never happen!) and secondly that Louisa's body was on the school grounds all that time but she was not found (I think the police would have found her).
The characters were one-dimensional and not in any way distinct from each other. They all spoke in exactly the same, stiff and formal, manner. And they were all fairly unlikeable. I really didn't care what happened to them one way or the other. I really wanted to love it but really didn't.
