The blurb of this book had me really intrigued. I thought and hoped it would be suspenseful and keep me on the edge of my seat. I was a bit disappointed!
I found it really atmospheric. The setting was eery and sinister. However the overall story wasn’t what I expected it to be. It got boring. It was very slow moving. It could be slow moving to create suspense but for me I like books where there’s constantly something going on so it fell a bit flat on that level for me.
I still like the concept of the book. It’s obviously very dark and disturbing, but it wasn’t what I expected it to be.
That being said, I’m sure there are many people who will enjoy this book! And I do love the cover. It’s pretty.
