Plodding and dull

Gosh this was a real hard labour to read. The whole thing crawls along at a snails pace, which I think is meant to lend an air of mystery and enigma and evoke maybe Picnic at Hanging Rock, or The Virgin Suicides. It doesn't. It just plods. And then it plods a bit more. And then it plods again. And that's not good given you can basically work out exactly what happened within the first couple of chapters. So it plods to it's predictable end and is instantly forgettable.

I'm really struggling to find anything positive to say.....ummmmm......the covers nice....it really is actually - a beautiful picture that catches the eye and makes you want to look closer. Sadly the contents of the book don't do the same.
