This isn't a style book I typically would read, however it has been written incredibly well and the plot is really intriguing. There are lots of twists and turns as the author begins to unravel the story of what happened on that fateful night to Louisa and Mr Lavelle. It's written mostly from the perspective of Louisa almost as though she is reading her story to you. It flits between her narrative, Victoria's and that of a journalist who is trying to uncover the mysterious happenings at Temple House. It is easy to keep track of who is speaking and the characters are well written. It was quite slow to start, but it almost felt like the story was constantly gathering momentum until you reached the end and found out the truth of what happened at Temple House. Would definitely recommend this book!
