What a captivating beginning to a story! It pulls you in from the first page and forces you to continue on.

Starting with the prologue of what seems to be the aftermath of a suicide from the perspective of a journalist and then switching to Louisa's first person narrative, you can tell this will be a twisting and turning story full of detail and intricate prose of descriptions and emotions.

I'll definitely be looking out for this book when it's released to discover what happens in, what appears to be, a rather atmospheric story of obsessions, repressive environments, and tragic consequences.
