I have throughly enjoyed reading this debut book by Rachel Donohue, The Temple House Vanishing.
I love the cover which ties in nicly with some of the narrative in the book.
Donohue, weaves a tale of mystery and intrigue surrounding the disappearance of a pupil and teacher of Temple House school.
Helen, the perfect prefect,
Victoria, the whimsical beauty,
Louisa, the girl who should never of been there, and the charismatic art teacher and how their lives are changed forever by the events at Temple House
I love the characters and Donohue has developed them well, making them relatable and she told their story well. The setting is wonderfully discribed, so much so I can see the long driveway and feel the cold through the cracks of the windows, it's a real page turner. I would recommend this if you enjoy a mystery as much as I do.
A wonderful debut novel.
