Captivating
I will be honest and say that I wasn't expecting much from this book at all. It sounded like so many books set around a similar era; all a bit twee and boring. However, I found myself sucked in to family life in Kilcross and the schism between the sisters caused by the mother.
It is one of those books that found me tutting when I got to the end of the First Impression because I wanted to read on.
