The blurb gave away lots of the plot so I really didn't think this novel would have much to offer and I would have left it on the shelf in a bookshop. The cover also highlighted the antagonism between the sisters. However, I really enjoyed the beginning of the story and the author clearly knows how to write an interesting and engaging setting and dialogue.
