This is a compelling story which is set between Donegal Ireland and America. It tells the story of Nora and Delia who are both sisters but don't have a sisterly bond and are not close in their relationship. They are sent on a trip of a lifetime to new York and in order to enable them to arrive at their destination and to embark on their new life they have to set foot onto the titanic. The story switches between each sister during the various chapters and explores how their relationship blossoms while on this journey. I don't want to say to much else about the story as it is hard without giving spoilers.
If you are interested in the Titanic and that part of history then you will find this an enjoyable read
This book has a few similarities to the novel Brooklyn and I highly recommend the titanic sisters if you enjoyed that.
