The writing in this book was easy to read. The style made it flow and made for a fast read. The use of language really helped create a picture in my head when reading. The overall themes really drew me into the book. The way it was written made you really feel for the characters and the sadness that it evoked.
The cover itself was immediately eye catching with its bright colours. The images again made it very obvious what the book was about and helped with creating an image of the characters.
I liked that this book was based on a true event but the story was fictional. The relationship between the sisters was tough knowing they got torn apart after the boat sank. I liked that the book alternated between both sisters perspectives and although the sisters did not know what the other was doing the reader was aware the whole time.
