The book is as my title says. Slow and steady. The plot was there and the characters were there too but there lacked depth. Somehow there was a slight distancing from the novel and I was slightly confused but also alienated by this. I felt like I was kept at arms length away from the characters and they didnt seem natural. I am unsure how and what techniques the author used however I am sure it took me a while to connect to the characters and even then it was very loose.
The cover art was beautiful but consisted of copymark watermarks on the back and felt a bit cheaply made. I mean not to offend but over all the book seemed rather rushed and like thought was missing from the concept and execution of the text and cover.
