This is a book that appeals to anyone who is interested in animals and the natural world. Each chapter is a separate story about vet Jonathan Cranston's experience with a certain animal from domestic pets, farm animals and exotic and endangered species so the book can be read over a period of time in easy to manage sections. The book has already been read by several members of my family ranging from 12 to 85 years old.
Jonathan is honest and amusing in his recollections and recaps each chapter with interesting facts about each species. He is still only 37 and I hope to hear much more about his experiences in film, television and books in the future.
