This is a really readable, fascinating book about life as a vet, both in this country and abroad.
I don't usually read much nonfiction, even less books about animals, but this book drew me in right from the start. It follows the life of vet Jon as he treats not just the usual vets diet of cats, dogs and regular farm animals, but also follows him as he journeys abroad to treat giraffes, pandas, and other exotic animals.
The book is written in a really fun style, though it has serious messages about conservation, and each chapter has a really fact filled postscript about the animals which have been written about.
I would recommend this book to anyone who loves animals, or just someone who wants a good read. Great book.
