I really enjoyed reading this first impression. I am intrigued to find out how the accident caused Martha to lose her sight and have the ability to know and sometimes feel someones emotions and know their deepest secrets and experiences they have had in life from their clothes brushing hers. The strength of these feelings varies based on the type of material of their clothes Martha makes contact with.
Martha has made the journey to Skjebne, without her parents knowledge which I am guessing is because she wants answers as to the ability she now has and to see her grandmother. Her mother will not talk about Martha's grandmother or the island where the accident took place. But when she arrives at her grandmother's house things are not how she expected. This is where the first impression ends and I just really want to keep reading to learn more!
