To be perfectly honest, I thought from my first impression that this book was going to be mediocre. I didn't expect to get hooked and be unable to put the book down, but that is exactly what happened. One of the things I liked best about this book was its quirky storyline - it was different to all the other fantasy books I've read, proving that there are still ways for the genre to delight and surprise me. I was very intrigued by the horse mythological influences, and I think this is something I would like to explore further, thanks to this book. It was exciting from start to finish and I will definitely would read any other future books by the same author, or even a sequel! Highly recommended.
