I couldn't put this book down. I love norse mythology and this book touches on a few myths but leaves you eager to learn more. Prepare to go on this dark journey with Martha, a 17yr old who has lied to her parents as to her whereabouts. Martha goes to visit her Norwegian grand mother, Mormor who lives in a shack on a small island. Martha has questions that she needs Mormors help to decipher what is happening to her. When Martha arrives at Mormor shack, she finds the door ajar. The shack is in disarray so she grabs a nearby stick as she shouts and searches the rooms for Mormor. Martha finds a stranger called Stig in her Mormor home and her beloved Mormor is still missing but Stig knows what has happen to her grandmother. This book has many facets to it, there's mystery, myths, monsters and magic with a sprinkling of romance, horror and love. What more
can you ask of a book! A great read.
