This book is one of my all time favourites. The way the story develops is genius, the characters are believable and create an immediate connection with the reader. The writing is beautiful. The setting is atmospheric, you can see it as you’re reading.
I had the pleasure to meet the author at the Young Adult Literature Convention in London last year, which was an amazing experience.
As a Norse Pagan, I can say that I really appreciated the way Norse mythology was worked into the novel, and the way the characters dealt with certain situations was really interesting. The time frame of this novel was one of my favourite aspects!
