English is not my native language and I don't often read books. But this book made me like to read, even in a foreign language (I am from Germany)
It's written quite simple and good to understand for beginners. The sentences are not too wordy and it's easy to read a lot of pages one after another.
The main character is Martha, a seventeen-year-old girl from England with a special ability: she can tell things about a person just by touching their clothes. I liked this idea from the first second I read the description of the book. A mystery adventure starts by the moment she travels to Norway to visit her grandma and find out she's dead. A touch of romance and darkness completes this story.
This book made me overthink my opinion of young adult books. Even though I didn't finish the book yet (but nearly) I can only recommend it.
