Wow! I know they say never judge a book by a cover but I do and I did and I knew I’d love this book from the moment I saw the cover (and the title) and I wasn’t disappointed. It is a beautifully written mythical story about family and the ties that bond us through the generations. This is a story with the feel of old folklore but written in a perfectly modern way. It is a unique coming of age novel but I think it is written in such a way that makes it enjoyable for all age groups. It follows the journey of Martha who runs away to Norway to be with her Grandmother who she hopes will help her understand her confusing ability of being able to read peoples emotions by touching their clothes but what unfolds is much more mysterious. I can’t wait to read more from this author.
