I never really read books because of the season but this was a very atmospheric creepy book, taking place in Norway's winter which is dark nearly all the time! The cover literally says, "You can't hide from the darkness"!
The beginning was pretty slow paced and I wanted a bit more closer between the characters but this was really just Marthas story so that lack of closer is fitting! I loved the norse touch to this story and bringing this magical realism into the modern world is always fun to read about and to start imagining if any of this occurred in your life. This book really got my imagination going with the descriptions throughout Marthas visions.
