I loved this book, it is well written . But I wish it was a bit longer. It is a haunting tale and I was able to relate to the character Martha especially with her lack of confidence about her looks and at the start you read about a very anxious and not so confident young girl and coming through the end of the story you are able to see a more confident woman. It is nice sharing her journey of growth. I sense there will be a sequel and It will be good to explore how her relationship works out with Stig and I am curious to know what he is hiding about Nina. I do hope that that their relationship works out.
Set in the dark, but beautiful country of Norway with the old norse mythology is very interesting . It’s a haunting tale but one of overcoming your demons and gaining courage. I found the book easy to follow and read it in one day. You won’t be disappointed
