Not a lot to say from the extract, took too long talking about Viking history before they got to the murder, then immediately leaves the scene and starts to introduce the detective who will eventually by the end of the extract be assigned the case. The cover is dark and moody, giving it the Scandi Noir feeling which is getting a little tired now. I am assuming the Viking history will feed into the case, but have to admit i just don't care enough to want to read any more.
