This definitely isn't the kind of thing I'd usually pick up if I was looking through the books in a bookshop, but I was really pleasantly surprised by just how interesting it was. If there's one thing I love then it's learning new things, and I must say I hardly know a thing about Columbus and his adventures, so this made for a very informative and interesting read for me. I like the style of writing and the way that the author sets the story up at the beginning, it's definitely set up for a good old mysterious adventure story and I feel compelled to find out more at this point! So far, I feel very intrigued by the characters, they're all feeling very mysterious and it's making me want to learn more.
