I really enjoyed this book I learned about vikings, film makers and such whilst it being a crime fiction!
I wish It was expressed that this was not a standalone I think I would have enjoyed it more if I had read the other books but nevertheless this could be written and read as a standalone because of the writing engaging and suspense ridden plot.
there are a lot of characters the main being my favourite a strong and smart detective with a mysterious past (mysterious for me because I haven't read the other books).
I loved how it was set in Iceland because I've never read a book set in Iceland and the descriptions and world building was so good! I am going to find more books in this series and by the other because of this one:)
