This is a pretty good crime drama whodunnit, with plenty of atmosphere and a likeable enough hero. There are plenty of names in the frame for the murderer, some more plausible than others.....and at times it seems like EVERY character has a scene in which they behave in a threateningly sinister/ suspicious manner just to throw yet another hat in the ring for our baddie.

Likewise it seems like every turn in the plot has to be related at least three times...unless the author is being sneeringly patronising and assuming readers won't get it first time and really need the details hammering in this is unnecessary and slows down the pace of the novel.

All in all, though this is an enjoyable read.
