This is one of the most exciting beginnings to a book I have read in a long time. The storyline has already captured me, and seems like a must read of 2019. Utterly intriguing, with enough to keep you guessing, even between paragraphs. The author has done a fantastic job of creating a tense atmosphere surrounding the house, and the cliff hanger at the end of the last chapter makes me want to read further. What happened to the family all those years ago that requires investigation? And what is the strange knocking noise that persists in the house? This books feels like it’s going to be full of suspense and chills and I can’t wait to read more!
