If it’s anything like The Little Stranger.....

.....then The Wayward Girls is for me!! I love books where something like a house, or a garden, is an extra character in the book. Like The Little Stranger or My Cousin Rachel. I like the idea of this family trying to live a simpler life....but it sounds like their problems catch up on them eventually.
