This was a pretty haunting first impression. The dynamic between the sisters seems really interesting and it could go in many directions. Familial ties seem to play a large part in this novel, which is also something I'm interested in. Unfortunately, I found that I couldn't really connect with the book, despite being an avid lover of historical fiction, I found that I was skimming over some parts. I think that this is because I did not particularly enjoy the writing style, I do however think that both this book and the author have a lot of potential.
