What begins as a story centred around sisters Loo and Bee quickly ends up being something much bigger. Set both in the summer of 1976 and the present day, the story flicks back and forth as it reveals the events of that haunting summer along with new findings in the present day. The Corvino family bought a countryside house to live their life peacefully and away from the chaos of city living but as strange things begin happening at the farm a paranormal investigation takes place to investigate the events.
I found this story captivating and chilling. I loved how it went back and forth and only revealed snippets of information to keep you on your toes. All we know going into the story is that something awful happened at the farm but we’re not given a lot of details at first. This keeps the story suspenseful and exciting. I did find the number of characters confusing at times but as you get more into the story it becomes easier to remember them all. This book has encouraged me to try more paranormal/creepy books. I really enjoyed this!
