I recieved a free finished copy from Readers First in exchange for an honest review.

I will be totally honest, I'm a skeptic, I don't believe in ghosts, how can I possibly when I've never experienced it... Im sure if I felt I had I would change my mind. Also I'm a wimp, I hate horror so much I don't read or watch it, so I was wary of diving into this one. On that note I admit I went in feeling very skeptical and waited for the investigators to prove it was false.

I saw the cover and was immediately drawn to this book and read the 'first impression' on the Readers First website... It was intriguing and thoroughly creeped me out 😅

I loved the characters and creepy vibe it carried throughout the book, the kids were brilliant and well written and totally flawed. The girls having a crush on Simon was sweet if a little naive... Bee was older than I thought she was... I thought the girls were of the same age... Which I think was the actual point.
Cathy as weird as she was, was a great flawed character, totally ture to life and trying to deal with so muh on her own.
We didn't really get to know Dan or Flor very much. I didn't like Michael but I think that was also on purpose.
Olivia was a little weird, but definitely observant.
Issy... I didn't really like Issy always trying to help herself and not others like she pretends to.
Simon was sweet if a little naive and daft.
I really didn't like Nina either... Her and Issy are very similar.
Hal and Lewis seemed like spare parts, other than the fact that Hal was apparently a conduit like Lucy.

I enjoyed the creepiness that's kept throughout the book and I found the twist at the end was unexpected after the rest of the book. I loved hearing baout close it was to a local seaside town for me, that was fun 😊

I would definitely be interested in reasinf something else by Amanda Mason
