When I read the preview for this book I was generally freaked out and excited to see where the story would leave us. However after 7 days of constant reading (yes it took me that long to read), I felt deflated and let down by the book.
When you initially get the book the first 10 chapters do have a lot of freaky goings on and happenings. But then after a while, I got bored. Not much happened and I couldn't get on with the characters. As I said it took me 7 days to read this and that purely was because I was bored. I forced myself to finish this for the review.
The only other complaint I really have is that I couldn't really tell what decade 'Loo and Bee' were from? Nothing was really described in enough detail that I could picture when they were from. At first I pictured them being from Victorian times and then once you get used to the story etc, things become clear it wasn't that much of a time gap between then and now.

Overall I was really disappointed with this book and would not class it as a thriller or horror. Mystery is probably more like it.
