I really didn't expect to like this book as much as I did as i'm not really into ghost stories but now I think I may be converted! This is a dark story based around family secrets. It is set in two time periods, the 1970s and the present day which I found confusing at first but got used to after a few chapters as they were so short which is always a bonus when switching between time frames. The book certainly portrays a sinister / spooky atmosphere and I couldn't predict the ending which did leave me with a lot of unanswered questions and slightly confused. I wont give away any spoilers but it does leave me thinking there may be a sequel.... If the Enfield haunting had you gripped then you will enjoy this and I think it would make a great tv show or film! Thank you readers first for this copy.
